"Triumphant Achilles dragging Hector's lifeless body in front of the Gates of Troy". This is a reproduction of a panoramic fresco on the upper level of the main hall of the Achilleion on the island of Corfu built by Empress Elizabeth of Austria in 1892. The artist was Franz von Matsch who died in 1942 at the age of eighty-one years. He was born in Vienna and worked with the Klimt brothers before he was enobled by the Hapsburgs in 1912.
